Raw Simulation Data

On my site, I provide data on particle motion in statistical systems. These includes motion of molecules in gases and liquids, as well as the motion of Lagrangian particles in turbulence. These data contain raw particle trajectories obtained from numerical simulations, either molecular dynamics (MD) or direct numerical simulation (DNS).

MD data for hard-sphere fluid at thermal equilibrium

I host data on the dynamics of a classical hard-sphere fluid at thermal equilibrium. Each downloadable dataset is characterized by the reduced density ρ\rho^*, the number of particles NN, and the simulation duration tt^* in reduced units.

The data was obtained using the Dynamo particle simulator; see the detailed usage description for more information.

Each dataset is an HDF5 file, structured in a particular way.
