Origami in Sweden / Origami i Sverige

Origami is not particularly popular in Sweden and I want to help change that. Below I maintain a list of people and organizations connected to paper folding in Sweden and around.

Organizations

• Origami klubb Sverige. It seems to be based mainly in Stockholm or online.
• If you are interested in launching origami club in Göteborg, contact me or join our Telegram group.
• Foldning.dk, Danish origami community.
• OrigamiUSA. Because Europe can’t do better.

People

• Linus Backne-Genborg, I think he is in Stockholm.
• Miro Burman, who is apparently the person behind the Origami klubb Sverige.
• Mio Nakamura (Origami Japonica), who ocasionally gives origami master classes in Etnografiska museet (Stockholm) or Världskulturmuseet (Göteborg).
• Norio Torimoto does not seem to be active nowadays.

Online communities

Finally, you can find Swedish paper folders in global online communities.

• Origami-dan (折り紙団) Discord server, co-founded (?) by The Plant Psychologist. They also have links to other Discord communities, look the “friends-of-the-server” channel.
